At Positive Impact Force, our number one goal is be a positive impact for the organizations we serve, so we can have a positive impact on our community. We recently launched Positive Impact Fridays to shine a spotlight on the MANY amazing non-profits, social enterprises and for-profit businesses out there in our community making a Positive Impact! David Cooperrider said, “there is no greater time to be alive than right now,” and as I look at the amazing work happening in the Bay Area, I believe him!
This week the Social Enterprise Alliance Tampa Bay Board met at Feeding Tampa Bay for our monthly board meeting and took a tour of the facility. We were very impressed with everything! First of all, everything is neat, organized, and super clean. They have different brooms labeled for different surfaces to ensure everything is top notch. The staff was super friendly and very committed to their mission of changing lives one meal at a time.
I was curious about their mission after I heard a staff member speak, so I looked it up on their website - http://feedingtampabay.org/about/ - and saw they were simply following their guiding principles. Now try not to be blown away when you hear this… Feeding Tampa Bay has provided and equivalent of 3.8 million meals every month to people who would otherwise go hungry. That is certainly providing a Positive Impact to the ten-county area they serve! They emphasized that it is BECAUSE of VOLUNTEERS in the community that they are able to be so successful, so THANK YOU Feeding Tampa Bay and a HUGE ROUND OF APPLAUSE to everyone out there helping Feeding Tampa Bay make a Positive Impact!!
