Welcome to 2019.
It's a brand-new year! Did you set any resolutions? Did you attach your resolutions to smarter goals?
Could we take one of your resolutions and create it with smarter goals? FANTASTIC!
The best way to meet the goal now is to have accountability. I challenge you to find an accountability partner - it could be a life partner, friend, parent, coworker, boss, etc. – anyone that you feel comfortable talking to and that you trust. Share your goal with them and ask them to check in with you about it. They will want to help you and knowing you said you’d do it; will help you achieve it.
One of my goals this year is committing to my CrossFit practice. One of the things that I did fairly early on is I talked to my children about some of the goals that I wanted to set with CrossFit. I told them why I wanted to go to CrossFit and how it would benefit me. They helped ask me, “Are you going to the boxx today?”
About five months after I joined, my son decided to join CrossFit too and started coming with me. That not only helped with accountability, but it helped with motivation. It was a lot more fun with a partner. I find that even if I’m really tired because I got up early, or didn't sleep well, if my son gets ready to go, I get ready too, and I am always glad I did.
Do you have any goals that you would allow you to have an accountability partner? Could you include people you want to spend time with anyway? Have you asked anyone if they would be your accountability partner? Is it something you put a big chart on your wall that you have to look at that shows forward movement? Can you create a blog on your website to track your progress? What are your options?
We want to hear about your success!
